Luzia Schmitd graduated in Letters – Portuguese and Portuguese Language Literature, specializing in Early Childhood Education and Perspectives for Work, History of Afro-descendant culture and Environmental Education and Sustainable Development. In her dissertation, she sought to sensitize and guide kindergarten, elementary and high school teachers about the importance of addressing the topic of sustainability in the classroom. For this, she developed a pedagogical booklet showing the importance of Environmental Education in training students as conscious and responsible actors, including practical examples of how to approach and teach the circular economy considering the specificities of each discipline.
