Carlos Cordeiro holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (2006) and a Master’s degree in Biology (Ecology) from the National Institute for Research in the Amazon (2008). Specialist in Dissemination of Science, Health and Technology at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). PhD in Remote Sensing at the National Institute for Space Research (2016). Post-doctorate at UNESP in Rio Claro – SP (2017), in the dynamic ecology laboratory focusing on biogeography studies. He has experience in the area of Ecology and the environment, in research, in consulting and environmental monitoring. In education, he has served as an instructional designer, face-to-face tutor for undergraduate biology students, and distance tutor. He is currently an associate researcher at the International Institute for Sustainability (IIS-RJ) in partnership with the Rio Center for Conservation and Sustainability Sciences (IIS / PUC-Rio), acting as an analyst of geographic information systems in different lines of research in the IIS.
